The Pontifical Council for the Laity organized the Congress to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Apostolic Letter on the dignity and vocation of women. Brian Scarnecchia participated in the February 2008 conference, which was held in Rome. Congress Story
ISHRI DELEGATION ATTENDS UN COMMISSION ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN
ISHRI participated actively at the 53rd Session of the Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations in New York in March. More than a dozen students and faculty brought their voice to the UN on life and family issues.

ISHRI IN THE PHILIPPINES
ISHRI travelled to the Philippines in July 2008 with a group of seven, including President Brian Scarnecchia and VP Terrence McKeegan, who each gave talks at an academic conference at the University of Asia and the Pacific and to an Asian Catholic Charismatic Group. In addition, they presented a memo against the proposed two-child policy to President Gloria Arroyo.
